Kelly writes science fiction/fantasy novels and short stories. When she isn't writing she can be found in the Seattle art scene where she works as an art curator at a local gallery. Kelly has her master's degree in art history and enjoys using historical artworks as inspiration in her creative writing.

So I really like this one and I really hope it gets picked up. I submitted a while back to a few bigger magazines with no luck and have gone back and done subsaquent edits. Hopefully this year it will find a home!

I reworked this one a couple times but it never quite felt right. Might shelve it for a while. I think it has some interesting moments and potential but returning to it after it's marinated for a while could be inciteful.

I'm tinkering, editing, putting it down and coming back again, and tinkering more. All the progress seems to be positive, even if slow going, so I'm choosing to consider it a win. One day it will be good enough to query again maybe 2026 will be the year!
